NEEDLEPOINT DISPLAY: The Laurel Chapter of the Embroiderer’s Guild of America is celebrating National Embroidery Month in February with a colorful display of the chapter’s creations at Hendersonville Library the entire month of February.
There will be examples of hardanger, needlepoint, beadwork, blackwork, cross stitch, crewelwork, and needlepunch. In addition, there will be numerous stitch-ins held Feb. 7 at Henderson and Buncombe County libraries. Chapter members will demonstrate various needle art techniques, answer questions about the organization, and pass out literature.
